Apart from personal details, they often include details about projects that they completed. This is an attractive bit of information for recruiters and they are likely to keep an eye on such profiles.  

You can also try creating videos. This is a brilliant tool to attract employers who want to get to know you on a personal level. Some of them may not be impressed with words. They might actually want to get a good look at the candidate before they decide on an interview date.
